WELLINGTON HOUSE OUTSTANDING ACHIEVERS

During the last academic year (2018-2019), Wellington House decided to recognise the outstanding achievements of its students. To this end staff and parents were asked to inform the House Office of anything they felt students had done above and beyond their normal daily activities. Each term we selected one student from each year group and awarded them with a certificate. At the end of the year the Wellington House staff looked at all the nominations and selected one overall winner from each year group. Those selected are listed below.

Year 7

Reuben - for determination and independently raising £50 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Year 8

Grace - for perseverance in the face of adversity.

Year 9

Amelia - for fundraising over £3,170 for Crohns & Colitis UK.

Year 10

Jack - for meeting great personal challenges in the face of adversity.

Year 11

Tiggi - (photographed right) for reaching National Championship level in gymnastics.

Our overall winner was Megan who raised over £1000 for our house charity, Teenage Cancer Trust. It was as a direct result of Megan’s efforts that we decided to start awarding our students with trophies. We felt it only right and proper that Megan was our first overall winner.

We are now looking for outstanding achievers for this academic term so please feel free to email with your nominations.

Mr G Buckman, Head of Wellington House Mrs E Hiskey, Assistant Head of Wellington House
