Word in (Spiritual) Warfare Scripture reading schedule for the 40 Days for Life

WORD IN WARFARE

Greetings in Jesus Name!

Dear 40 Days for Life:

Please consider these 5 simple steps to enable your volunteers to successfully experience God's Word in Warfare by proclaiming aloud, and in public, the Word of God during your city's 40 Days for Life campaign. We provide all resources FREE to you and/or your team.

Only 5 easy steps and you're done!

1. Simply provide the reading schedule and the Participant Instructions to interested volunteers. No further management is required by your 40 Days Leadership Team or us. In fact, this will take on a powerful, Holy Spirit inspired life of its own, requiring little or no oversight. We'll help with FREE resources: videos, teaching materials and more to any participants...only upon request.

2. Participants are expected to do only what the can do and not what they can't do. If the previous day's reading portion could not be completed...say on Day 7, then on Day 8 volunteers just keep to the printed schedule reading along with the rest of the country. Trying to catch up would require reporting daily progress, more e-mails etc. and would be just too difficult to manage. This is unnecessary! We trust the Holy Spirit will accomplish His work at each venue by using those who just show up as He directs.

3. This is dynamic, spiritual warfare and should never be reduced to a mere Sunday-School-Bible-read-along or some Bible reading marathon. Proclaiming God's Word in warfare at the gates of hell can be life changing for many; even those who can only read once or twice during these 40 days. The good news? Several will be inspired to return over and over to continue declaring the Word in public.

4. This is different than one's own personal, meditation of scripture. Participants take turns reading one chapter aloud. No one reads alone or silently to themselves' but rather one believer reads to another or to a group. This way everyone shares in both reading and hearing the Word together. Therefore, Word in Warfare needs a minimum of one reader alternating reading aloud with one hearer. If possible, small groups are best, but whether it is only two believers reading aloud to each other, or several in a team together, each one reads one chapter.

5. They come and pray already as planned. Those choose to proclaim aloud the Word at the Gates of Hell may do so. Different people will likely read at different times of the day from any chapter(s) for that day. By giving them this specific reading schedule you offer your 40 Day volunteers an opportunity to employ the weapon He has given us: the Sword of the Spirit; using it to fight this good fight of faith and win in genuine spiritual warfare against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age.

God's Word will accomplish the purpose for which it was sent. (Read His promised blessing in Isaiah 55:8-11.) Your team(s) will be joining dozens...potentially hundreds...of other groups this year from around the country declaring publicly the entire Word of God in strategic level, spiritual warfare. This Biblical mandate to read publicly is spoken of often in scripture. (e.g. Deuteronomy 31:13-13; Joshua 8:34-35; and Nehemiah 8:1-3)
