Celebrate Valentine’s Day & Family Day the right way with McCafe

Proposed Dates: Friday February 12- Monday February 15

Time: Different for each day

Event Marketing Objectives: To build awareness for McCafe’s new location and position it as an affordable, yet upscale food menu for those between the ages of 18-35.

Challenges: Holiday weekend, parking, weather (one of our events is outside) and measuring the amount of productivity.

Guests/Target Audience: 18-35 years old

Friday February 12 – MarCom Goals

*Throughout the day we will be using a multitude of marcom strategies to promote our weekend event. We will be using advertisements (banners), coupons, flyers and free samples. We will also be using the photo booth as stimuli for social media advertisements. All of these combined will engage are target audience of students and hopefully by social media and word of mouth other citizens will be informed on our events.

Infesting the St. Lawrence and Queens campus’ All day event 2 booths in each school consisting of

o McCafe bannerso Coupons o Flyers for weekend events

Promotional flyers - Redeem this invitation to Sunday-Monday event and receive a special offer

o Employees in booths decked out in McCafe gear Outside each school: Get warm station 8am-12pm

o Free coffee or hot chocolate

o Log huto McCafe costume (gloves and apron)o Take a picture, use hash tag (#McLove), post on Facebook or Instagram

and receive $10 gift card for first 100 people ($1000)

Sunday February 14 (Valentine’s Day)

In store brunch 11am-2pm McLove Lounge Photo booth

o Take a photo and receive half priced breakfast sandwich for you and your partner

o McCafe frame Each female receives a rose with a purchase of a baked

good Buy one get one free for all drinks (couples) Walk around employee dessert sampler Decorations

This meets the event marking objectives because we are advertising within the college and university areas, hopefully bringing in those students to our events. With Valentines being a main event for the weekend, students are on a budget and McCafe will be a spot that they will be able to bring their partner for a fancy date with very affordable prices. Having an event on family day will allow students and their friends or parents to have a fun activity to do with prizes and free samples. Each event offers coupons and deals to bring into the café, which will hopefully bring traffic into the storefront.
