Earth Day 2016
Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in
more than 193 countries each year.
We did some colouring in pictures and word searches while we spoke about
what Earth Day is. The children looked at our eco board and eco folder and they made up a list of ‘5 things we will do’ at the club. These are easy to do and will help our planet. Why don’t you follow
them as well or you make up your own?
This is our ‘Eco Code’ at Culbokie which we all try to
follow. It fits in with Earth Day so we spoke about
this as well.
