Abacuc si lamenta del silenzio di Dio, che risponde: la fede basta a un uomo retto. San Paolo scrive: Dio non ci ha dato uno spirito di timidezza, ma di forza, di saggezza e di operosita’. A chi e’ convinto che le opere buone danno diritto all’aiuto celeste, Gesu’ insegna che queste sono semplicemente una risposta all’amore che Dio dona gratuitamente.

THEME OF TODAY’S MASSFOCUS: Lord, increase our faith.The readings today center around the gift of sanctifying grace which we received at Baptism. In order to keep and develop it, we need to nourish and protect it with the help of the Holy Spirit. We do this by striving daily to grow in a loving relationship with God, who never disappoints or forgets those who have faith and trust in Him. This type of faith is a pure and free gift from God. As God’s children, there is nothing we can do alone to earn everlasting life. We will, however, attain this goal with the encouragement and help of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.
