A Peek at the Week

Read the sight words here, go, from, help, gray

Read story and identify the main idea

Review sentences (speaking and writing)

Identify all letters and sounds

Recognize short and long vowel sounds in words

Use capital letters and periods in sentences

Multiple meaning words (bat- The bat is black. or I have a baseball bat.)

Practice blending CVC words

Identify and pronounce consonant blends at the beginning of words (sc, sn, sk, sm, sp, st, sw)

Solve simple addition and subtraction sentences with numbers 1-10

Count from 1 to 100

Write numbers from 1 to 100

Recognize the number that comes before and after a given number

Compare objects by weight, capacity, length

Extra Practice

Math: Create simple math stories and then have students write a number sentence to match the number story.

Language:

Choose 2 or 3 blends and ask students to name words that begin with those blends.
