Objectives: Listen and follow along as the instructor and other
students read from the novel Show knowledge of figurative language by applying
different forms to the novel. Show understanding of the taking on the perspective of
another person by creating a mock report from a rehab facility.

Complete discussion of Chapters 20 – 21 In pairs, create a timeline of events from the beginning of
the novel. Must have at least 15 events in point form.
Explain the importance of the event. Include symbols and pictures for at least 7 of the events. Include a title. Be clear, interesting, creative, and organized.
Homework: Create a Venn diagram to compare and contrast Ishmael’s life in New York and Sierra Leone.
Objectives: Order novel events in chronological order Compare and contrast Ishmael’s life in New York and
Sierra Leone.
