It feels like your spiritual life is being driven on an empty tank, or your life needs a revival. Everyone feels this way at one point or another in life. We must first realize that when we feel this way, we are not alone. Even men and women from the pages of sacred inspiration felt this way. H Elijah, after mightily defeating the 400 prophets of Baal, went into spiral of desolation and said, “It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers” (1 Kings 19:4). When our spirit is desolate and it needs to be restored, what can we do to restore and revive our spirit? Elijah is a great test case for us to examine. How did the Lord help him restore and revive his spirit? First, the Lord sent help to Elijah in the form of an angel (1 Kings 19:5). Angels will not appear to us like they appeared to Elijah, but angels, in the form of faithful brothers and sisters, will come and aid in times of spiritual depravity. This is why Christians need to seek for opportunities to help those in despair. We can be the messenger to help someone who needs their spirit restored. Second, the angel provided food for Elijah. When the body is physically weak, it needs nourishment. When the soul needs restoring, it needs the bread of life (John 6:33). Hearing God’s word through preaching, teaching, and reading are great ways to feed the weary soul. When you are feeling spiritually destitute, be sure to be in the assembly to hear the word of God. ave you ever felt this way? It feels like your spiritual life is being driven on an empty tank, or your life needs a revival.

Everyone feels this way at one point or another in life. We must first realize that when we feel this way, we are not alone. Even men and women from the pages of sacred inspiration felt this way.

HElijah, after mightily defeating the 400 prophets of Baal, went into spiral of desolation and said, “It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers” (1 Kings 19:4).

There are so many different ways to feed

the soul with God’s word. Your soul will thank you!

Third, he heard the voice of the Lord (1 Kings 19:9). The Lord always knows what is best for us, so we need to listen to Him. God told Elijah to go to Damascus to anoint Hazael to be king of Syria and Jehu to be king over Israel, and Elisha to be the next prophet. When the soul needs restoring, it needs to be involved in the work of the Lord. Great joy overtakes the soul when it is working for the Lord and accomplishing His mission.

If your soul needs restoring, allow someone to aid you on your journey. Feed on the word of God, and listen to the voice of God which tells us to go to work.

The soul will be restored and revived.- K.A. Pugh

*******At times we will be told of some spectacular

happening that will occur in the skies. Recently it was a luna eclipse. It might be a solar eclipse or some other rarity. Sometimes we are told of a rare alignment of the planets and stars. Of course, there is also the constant tracking of the constellations through the seasons. The amazing thing is that scientists will tell us well in advance that these occurrences will be happening—and they do.

How can we be so sure of those things so far in advance? We can know because man is pretty smart. Mankind has learned the precision of the design of this universe created by God. Man himself is the apex of that creation, and because God made us with such intelligence, we can learn of these intricacies of His design.

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Heb 3:4 ESV

I have difficulty understanding how anyone can think that this amazing universe that exhibits such design happened by accident.

Assemble Sunday with the saints to give glory and honor to the Creator of all the universe. He is worthy of your praise and adoration.
