Every time a word is spelt correctly, a partner puts a Z in a corner. When all 4 corners are filled, then a fifth bigger Z is drawn in the middle of the square. When all the squares on the grid have reached that stage, a child goes to the teacher to get their big red Z across the whole square. Those words must now be used in classwork and cannot be spelt wrongly.
