What does patience mean in Islam?
The capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
Sabr is the Islamic virtue of "patience" or "endurance" or more accurately "perseverance" and "persistence". Ṣabr is characterized as being one of the two parts of faith (the other being shukr).

How do you achieve Patience?
To achieve patience, you should: Take a day or your spare time where you make
patience your goal for the entire day and try to achieve it. Make a determined attempt to take
your time and think about everything you do, be mindful and live in the moment. ...
Slow down. ... Practice delaying satisfaction. ... And practice thinking before you speak.
Hardships and difficulties are a trial for you. Everything Allah chooses for you; from good or evil, is for your benefit. Whatever occurred to you could not have missed you and what missed you could never have reached you.

Why is patience an important lesson from
Karbala?
Patience is an important lesson from Karbala because the only way Sayyida Zeinab could be calm and take care of all the children was by being patience and respectful.
In the holy Quran, Allah says that only those who remain patient will receive a reward without any measure. A living example, Imam Hussein, of what the Quran Taught, was happy to “remain patient” in hardship and survival and to await his Lords rewards.

One Example of patience is when you are at a restaurant and your food takes a long time to come.
Some ways you can practice patience is:

To Achieving PatienceBy: Zeinab Hamam
Patience poem
To achieve PatienceIt will be hard but you got to try
And you can’t be impatient
It will take motivation
To achieve PatienceBut in your situation
I would have dedication
I would sort through the hesitation
And have inspiration
In those who achieved Patience I would try getting through the anger
