My Heat Technology Story Project

Your project is to research the historical development of a heat technology OF YOUR CHOICE and

to present that story through a comic strip or a mini-storybook.

You will have ONE 80-minute class period to do computer research and ONE 80-minute class

period to work on creating the comic strip/mini-storyboard.

DUE: Monday, Nov. 18

**You can pick any heat technology you like. Here are some ideas:

development of hair dryers

development of clothes dryers

development of protective clothing (like oven mitts and ski suits)

development of the metallurgy industry

development of the ceramics industry

Your story must include the following points:

1. When did this technology begin? What group or individual invented the technology?

2. Why did it begin? (What needs led to its start and development?)

3. How has the technology changed over time?

4. What improvements can be made to the heat technology?
