Day Thirteen:

The Story of Ourselves (Life 2)

ALLAH swt ordained for us to struggle for the metamorphosis of our hearts while being surrounded by this materialistic life, and by people like us. How we interact with the elements of this life –by committing sins or according to what pleases ALLAH- we determine the effect that this life will have on the status of our hearts.I can't present everything in life, so I am going to limit my drawing into four elements, Time; which I spend in sleeping, playing,…..and People, Money; also meaning power, and Food; which can represent anything that we use.

So our interaction with this life can be another barrier that separate us from ALLAH swt, or it can be viewed as signs and manifestations of the creator; leading us to HIM.

If we look at the four drawings of the heart and see how these hearts interact with the elements of life:

1- The dead heart/Evil-urging nafs

Shaitan lives in this heart, so if we represent shaitan as another barrier where the influence of shaitan has now merged totally with the Evil-urging nafs

So this combination will deal with life in a way that will further block it from it's Creator.

2- If we look at the Evil-urging nafs/diseased heart:

We find that shaitan's effect is a bit less and the interaction with life is a bit less shielding:

3- If we look at the Self-reproaching nafs/Diseased heart:

Shaitan's effect is even less and so is the interaction with life:

4- The Serene nafs/Sound heart of course, see GOD through the elements of life, everything in life is a sign/leads them to the Creator. There are no barriers!

Next time will in sha ALLAH discuss the effect of negative interactions with life (sins) on the status of the heart. Don't worry after that we will get into "The Cures" n sha ALLAH
