Year 4 Homework - Friday 7th June 2019

Please ensure your child is reading at least three times a week for 15 minutes. We are really focusing on the children’s stamina for reading this half term and asking them to read their reading book for ten minutes per day at school. It would be fantastic if you could discuss what they are reading with them at home.

Each week we will be asking the children to focus on an aspect of grammar or vocabulary. This week, we would like your child to recap all of the Year 4 terminology (adverbial, fronted adverbial, pronoun, possessive pronoun and determiner). We would like your child to find examples of these word classes within their reading book or a favourite book of their choice.

Please can you practise any times tables that they may still be finding tricky in preparation for this. All children are expected to know all of their times tables by the end of Year 4. We are hoping that the majority of children within Year 4 will achieve 25/ 25 for this.

We have also set a Mathletics activity for your child to recap some of their learning on
