WHAT’S HAPPENING AT OUR CHURCH?

HELP NEEDED - Trinity's UCW Christmas Tea and Bazaar is coming up very soon – Saturday,November 10th.A LOT of sandwiches, squares and cookies are needed for the tea room. Sign up sheets are up in the Fellowship Hall. Please add your name to the list.
EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS AT TRINITYIn case of an emergency at Trinity, please know the location of your closest exit door—two at the front, two at the back. We are NOT allowed to use the elevator in the case of an emergency. Ushers, Teachers, and Choir members are trained to assist you (and the children) downstairs and outside to our emergency gathering location: The Capitol Centre Parking Lot.
BOOKS FOR PRESCHOOLERS are available at the back of the narthex. Families may select some to "read" in the pews and/or to take home and return to church at a later date. Selections will be updated regularly.
DEADLINE DATE! The date for submission to the Advent Newsletter is Sunday, November 11th for distribution on Sunday, November 18th. Please email your submission to [email protected].
REMINDER!!! We still have BRICK ENVELOPES, for our much needed brick repairs.

AOTS GIFT CARD FUNDRAISER-The next Gift Card order dates are: TODAY, November 18th, December 9th. NOTE: December 9th will be the last order date before Christmas. For further information please contact Ed Rose at 705-476-5316.
TRINITY’S FOOD SHELF: Monday Mornings 9:30-11:00 This month’s food items are canned stew and canned milk. We will also accept clean warm clothes such as sweaters, jackets , socks and mitts. Your generous donations are always appreciated.
The WHITE ELEPHANT TABLE at the Bazaar welcomes donations of: jewelry, glass and table ware, table linens, books, toys, Christmas decorations, small working appliances (such as toaster, irons, etc.), unopened cosmetics and spices. Please--no plants or clothes. Items may be delivered to the church on the morning or evening of Friday, November 9th, or the morning of Saturday, November 10th. HIGH TEA BIBLE STUDY! Kirk and Heather Ready invite you to the treat of high tea and the enrichment of our faith through study together. Bible study will be shared in their home on Wednesday, November 7th. Sign-up sheet is downstairs. To the tea/Bible study, please bring a donation of $5.00 for *Packsac Smiles (*backpacks full of necessities for local children in need).

The $6852 deficit includes our apple pie project expenses (more than $3000) but not our apple pie income. That will appear in October so we are about in the same position as we were last month. So far we are doing well. We will be paying our Presbytery assessment in November so your continued support is needed and appreciated.
Recall that Swiss Chalet will donate 10% of the cost of dinners served in the restaurant. Please save your table receipts and put them in the containers in the narthex or the McIntyre Street entrance. (not your credit card receipt).
The brick project has raised a little more than $8,000 so far. Keep it up. Your donations are appreciated for the cushions as well. If you have spare large pill bottles we will be able to use them for our Advent Offering project. Please remove the drug store stickers and rinse them out. Moe Laporte is collecting them.
