Teammates/Coaches

- Dylan Tarbett - University of Saskatchewan Huskie - Matt Pallot - WAVL MVP 2016

“Nicholas is an athletic player that has the ability to play both left and right side. He has a good understanding of the game, which reflects in his playing style, picking his shots rather than always going for the power shot. Nicholas Martin in comparison to Dylan Tarbett: With his increased athleticism Nicholas has the ability to be faster around the court than Dylan whether this be in attack or defense/ serve receive. Nicholas is very like Dylan in his ability to play off pace shots as well as hard hits, but lacks some experience when compared to Dylan due to being much younger. Like Dylan, Nicholas can hit from both sides of the court, and due to his natural explosive ability is also very good hitting from the back row”

- Matthew Hender - Finish Club Vaasan Kiitso (coach of UWA super league team)

“Nic Martin is talented young junior athlete who has a keen interest on improving his own game in all aspects. As a coach of Nic, I notice he has a great ability to listen and take on board all feedback I provide. He shows good intrinsic motivation to correct mistakes and is always pushing himself to perfect his own skills. Nic’s natural physically is a great attribute and I am sure if given the opportunity he would defiantly be a great addition to your roster. Off the court Nic is a respectful young guy that is liked by all of his team mates with the ability to hold himself well in all situations. I am hopeful that Nic can continue his volleyball outside of Perth to develop his future in volleyball.” – Matthew Hender
