Special places: Week 2

We know about special places in Jesus’ life. People still visit these places today on special journeys called ‘Pilgrimages’

A pilgrimage to a special place is to remind people how important it is to pray and take time to think about what is important in their lives.

Match the special events in Jesus’ life to the special places they took place using the cards below.

If you have access to the internet research one site of Christian pilgrimage. Find out why that place is special and why Christians go on pilgrimage there.

In the World…

It is week 2 of children’s art week. This week’s theme is ‘connecting through generations’. Watch this video and try to creat your own painting guided by Brenda Coyle: https://engage.org/happenings/relaxation-through-art-with-artist-brenda-coyle/

This week we are thinking about resilience. Resilience is about being brave and not giving up when something is difficult.

So for this lesson you need a piece of wool or a shoe lace (it needs to be about 120cm long) tied to make a circle. Now watch the video carefully and start practicing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTSxcN9Ih5M  Remember to keep going, even if it gets difficult! Have fun!

I’d love to hear how you got on – [email protected] J
