Page 11: Monroedpietran.blog.monroe.edu/files/2014/11/SMART-Noteboo…  · Web viewType the text to be used in your activity. Format text to be the same color as your boxes. Drag text into

3. Type label for handle. (EX. “Pull Here”)4. Type information to be attached to the handle5. Drag the two text boxes together and group6. Push so that the text is out of sight.

Advanced Layering or Filtering1. Draw 2 boxes and fill each with a different color, I’ll use red and blue.2. Place them side by side and group.3. Type the text to be used in your activity. Format text to be the same

color as your boxes.

4. Drag text into boxes. One set appears and the other disappears.

Using this same principal let’s create a different type activity.1. Draw a rectangle, fill it with the color of your choice and place it at the

bottom of the window. Add text. Lock the rectangle and text in place.2. From the gallery, select pictures to be identified and place them on your

sheet. Ex. States, flags, phases of moon, animals, colors, historical people

Page 12: Monroedpietran.blog.monroe.edu/files/2014/11/SMART-Noteboo…  · Web viewType the text to be used in your activity. Format text to be the same color as your boxes. Drag text into

3. Type labels under each of the pics, change the color of the text to be the same as the background.

4. Group the two objects together. 5. Have students go to board and label pics using the physical pens, or

their fingers to write. Then drag the pic down to the “magic box” to check for accuracy.

Magnifying Glass Activity1. Select map or background of your choice (…

KISS)2. Get the magnifying glass from the gallery.3. Create a circle and fill it with a color of your

choice inside the magnifying glass. Group the two items together

4. Create labels for your map or background and change to same color as background. This text layer should be in the front. Check layers by right clicking the layer > Order > Send to Front

5. You have 3 layers: picture on bottom, magnifier and the text layer is on the top.
