INTERVIEWING COURSE APPLICATION PROCESS 2013-14
1Applicant submits application through UCAS.
2Admissions invite applicant for interview through UCAS
3Student accepts interview through UCAS TrackAdmissions e-mail full interview details to applicant
4Tutors receive report regarding arranged interview sessions twice weekly Suggest interviewer contacts applicants who have not "Accepted" their interview few days prior to interview to gauge interest
5Admissions tutor retrieves application (as per attached instructions) prior to interview
6Admissions tutor e-mails interview outcome recommendation to admissions (as per attached instructions)
7If applicant fails to attend admissions tutor should select a failed to attend outcome (as per attached instructions) and admissions will re-invite if appropriate
HOW TO ACCESS INTERVIEW INFORMATION AND VIEW/PRINT APPLICATIONS
Open the University website (www.bolton.ac.uk) and click on the staff button
Scroll down and click on Management Information (under the Corporate heading)
Click on Interviews
Scroll down to find your course and then click on the relevant date:
On the example above, you can see in the “Number Booked” column how many students have been booked in for interview. If this says 0 then no students have been scheduled for that slot.
Once you have clicked on the date, a further screen will load (as below) which lists all the applicants for that particular date including contact telephone numbers and e-mail address. You can then click on the student’s name to view the student’s profile.
To view the application, click on the course that the student is being interviewed for:
If you wish to print the application, click on Export, choose PDF and print from Adobe
HOW TO ACCESS NOTIFY ADMISSIONS OF OUTCOME OF INTERVIEW
To notify recommendations to admissions following interview, re-visit the relevant interview date screen following the same procedure as above and select relevant option.
This will open a regular e-mail window and should insert the relevant information for you automatically.
Any additional comments can be included in the main body of the e-mail.
If “Reject” e-mail is selected please remember to include reason for rejection and any alternative course recommendation if applicable.
If the “Failed to Attend” option is selected please confirm that the applicant has been contacted and advise if wishes to be re-invited.
