EMPOWERMENTPOETRY WORKBOOK
BY AMY PEREZ, MAE
Greetings!
We all can learn to write poetry and become a better person through it. You want your writing and poetry to be a reflection of who you are!
Through writing and poetry, we can find many interesting facts about ourselves that sometimes we do not take notice to. Writing poetry allows us to be free with our
words, our thoughts and ideas!
Mindfulness is a practice of paying attention to the present moment on purpose with kindness, acceptance and curiosity- no judgments or shame.
One of my favorite ways to practice mindfulness is through writing poetry and journaling.
I invite you to connect with your body, heart, mind, environment and the relationship you have with yourself and others.
This workbook is designed to get your creativity flowing, get you connected with yourself, your emotions and all that makes you, you!
I hope that this combination of presence and empowering poetry writing will serve to deepen your awareness of what is happening in your heart and mind, inspire
insight and empower you to create!
Give yourself 10 minutes, or 30 minutes every day and write.
Do it just for you and discover what lives within.
Wishing you mindful and calm days ahead,
Amy♥

AffirmationsBy changing the words we tell ourselves, we can calm the negative chatter in our minds. We talk to ourselves in a more positive way. Rather than bring us down, affirmations are the practice of lifting us up!
First, pick out which affirmations you’d like to say out loud.Write them down, decorate index cards, and make it a fun activity to do with your family!
I am strong.
I am confident.
I am worthy.
I am capable.
I am kind.
I am brave.
I am a wonderful friend.

I am unique.
I spread joy.
I am a good listener.
I am talented.
I am creative.
I am loved and am loveable.
