This is how your Ch. 1 Native American foldable should be set up : You will use pages 12-15 in your US History textbook. This was a “hamburger fold,” or a simple top to bottom folding of the paper. The paper is folded again at the middle seam in order to get the roughly ½” tab at the top. The bottom of the paper is where the opening should exist. Page 1 The first column is the only one that you have to list the “positives and negatives.” This is largely based on your opinion of this region. You may use prior knowledge, the class textbook, or your iPad to answer this section. The two sections, “Climate” and “Foods and Shelter” should be answered using the reading on pages 12, 14, and 15. However, you will not find all of these items covered and may list “not given” if it is not discussed in the reading.

The first column is the only one that you have to list the “positives and negatives.” This is largely based on your opinion of this region.

Page 2: Make a cut right after the regions that extend all the way to the top seam.

Label two more columns across from the regions and fill them in.a. You may choose any 2 tribes from the regions listed on page 13. b. The symbol simply needs to be anything that could be descriptive of each region.

Important Note: You may want to take pictures of pages 12-15 with your iPad so you will be able to work on this in Home Room, Flex, or at home. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me in class or by email.
