This visual story is to help you prepare for your visit to see HOME, which takes place at Brighton Dome

Visiting Brighton Dome

If you need to collect tickets, you will have to go to our ticket office

Here are the stairs that take you up to the ‘circle’ (this is the upstairs area of the auditorium). At the back of the photo you can see a door that leads into the ‘stalls’ (this is the downstairs area of the auditorium) There is also a lift on the right, next to the door at the back.

You can also enter the ‘stalls’ through the doors you can see at the back of this photo.

There is another set of stairs to the left of these doors. These stairs will also take you up to the ‘circle’.When you enter, an usher will look at your ticket and direct you to your seat.

If your seats are in the ‘circle’ these are the stairs that you can go up.

There is also a lift available.

You can look out for signs around the building like this to find your way around.

Our staff are also here to help you find your way around and help you take your seat. They wear black and their uniforms have a Brighton Dome logo on them, like this.

If you would like to buy a drink or a snack, you can get these from our bar and café area before the show and at the interval

This is our bar.You can buy alcoholic and soft drinks, crisps and little snacks here.

nibbles. There is a fridge with soft drinks you can buy.

The bar and café are both in our foyer which looks like this.

There is also an upstairs bar and seating area that you can see more clearly in this photo

Inside the auditorium, there are two levels of seating. The lower level is the stalls, and the upper level is the circle. This is the view from the stage, looking out to the audience

lowered. During a relaxed performance the auditorium won’t be see dark

HOME

During the show you can make noise or move around in the auditorium, you don’t have to worry that someone will tell you to stop. You can leave the auditorium at any time, you can come and go as much as you like. There will be a chill-out area if you want a break.

The show will be 105 minutes: 85 minutes of performance with a 20-minute interval.

HOME is a circus show from a team called the ‘Pirates of the Carabina’ - 15 highly experienced circus artists, riggers, musicians and technicians from across the world.

There will be 7 performers performing on the stage. Here are 4 of them.You can watch an interview with the cast here

You will see traditional circus tricks such as the trapeze, rope work and clowning.

As well as some more unusual tricks on roller skates.

The performers will also play live music, sing and dance.

The set will have a vertical-swinging trapeze, ropes, a spinning carousel, and a moving, collapsible staircase.

At the end of the show the audience will clap and the performers will take a bow. The audience may also clap during the performance if one of the performers does a really clever trick.
