Grade 2 TLCHomework Week 10 – Due November 24.

Reading:The homework program includes 15 – 20 minutes of daily reading. Raz-Kids is now up and running so please include at least 2 – 3 sessions a week using that program which should include reading, listening and doing the quizzes.

Math All three colours of homework are being asked to continue to do Mathletics (www.mathletics.com/signin) at home. Yellow group should spend 10 minutes / 2 times a week on Mathletics, the blue group 15 minutes / 2 times a week, and red group 20 minutes / 2 times a week. The students will continue to focus on the units on Numbers to 30 and Numbers to 100.

Spelling:Please practice the spelling words listed below.

1. Date the homework.

2. Write each spelling word as many times as possible in one row of print, using finger spaces between words.

3. Write a sentence for each of the words to show they understand the correct use of the word.

What we are looking for is the correct spelling on the review and more importantly, applying it into our daily work.

Spelling test will be on Thursday, Nov 22.

Yellow: First 5 words with a simple sentence. Example: I went to school.

Blue: First 9 words with an interesting sentence. Example: I quickly walked to school.

Red: All 13 words with a complex sentence. Example: I quickly walked to school because I was late.
