Dear Families,

This coming Thursday will mark the 100th day of school for the students. If you would like, your child can wear a shirt for the 100th day. You could take an old shirt and put 100 items on it (like button, stickers, safety pins, etc.) or write 100 things. These shirts can be worn on Thursday.

We will be doing activities in our classroom pertaining to 100. One plan is to have the students count out and eat 100 pieces of snack. If you would like to donate a box or bag of some small item like cereal, m&m’s, oyster crackers, or pretzel sticks, it would be appreciated. Please send it by Wednesday so that I can be sure of having enough pieces for snack. (You will only need to send a drink Thursday as we will have these 100 pieces for snack.)

We have almost finished our winter unit. We had fun making snowmen and talking about animals in winter. The students made plaster of Paris impressions of different animal feet.

We are beginning our Dinosaur unit to be completed at the end of February. Don’t forget a shoebox if you haven’t already sent one. During the unit time, we will also be learning about President’s Day and completing activities for Valentine’s Day. The last week of January is Catholic Schools Week and we have many activities planned.

Looks like a warm weekend ahead—have a great one!
