● Wednesday:How many words can you write? (We often practise this at school!)

On a blank piece of paper see how many words you can write without any help! Try small “key” words such as me, my, is, in, the, can, went. You could try sets of rhyming words such as hat, cat, pat. An adult can help you think of words to try!

Tuesday: Equal groups Problem

When you look out of the window you can see 30 birds in a tree. They are in equal groups on branches. What might this look like? Challenge: How many different ways can you find?

Wednesday: 1 more, 1 less than

Choose one of the worksheets to complete.(You could Google a 100 chart to help!) Challenge: Use some 3 digit numbers and write 1 more and 1 less than each number

● Remember to look on Seesaw for Literacy activities too! You can show Mrs Jarman your writing by uploading onto Seesaw/sending as a Seesaw message or emailing it.

Watch Mrs Jarman’s video on Seesaw for how to measure the area of an object.Choose an object that you can measure the surface area of at home eg. book. Choose a non-standard unit of measurement to cover your book with eg. lego pieces, blocks, counters, pencils etc. Complete the worksheet to measure the area of your object. Use the worksheet to record your work.

Friday Fun-time: Play some Maths games or board games at home with your family! Eg. Snakes and ladders, Uno or other card games. You could find some online if you don’t have any.
