Screen MatteThis may seem fine but to check its success and to really work on your image switch the view in Keylight to ‘Screen matte’.

This shows you the image in black and white. Grey areas are problem areas. To remove the grey up the values for clip black (to remove grey from the black areas) and clip white ((to remove grey from the white areas).

De spotYou may still have spots of grey on the white or black areasRemove these by raising the values on screen despot black or screen despot white.

Edge colour correctionTo get rid of green spill on edge of foreground image (green is often reflected from the bkg screen onto the edge of the subject)Select edge colour correction – Increase values for edge softnessReduce saturation (any green spill becomes more grey and less easy to spot).Edge colour suppression – select suppress green.

To address overall exposure of the shot selectForeground colour correction – increase the saturation a little.

You can then use a range of colour corrections on both the foreground and the footage you wish to place in the background to enhance it.
