Weekly Skills in ELA

Students will determine the different types of text structures.

Students will write an informational piece based off a nonfiction text.

Students will use context clues to determine the meaning of a word.

Students will determine if a sentence is a compound, complex, or simple sentence. Students will also have to be able to write a compound and complex sentence.

Students will recognize and use text features in nonfiction texts to gain meaning and further information from the text.

Weekly Skills in Math

Students will tell time to the nearest minute on analog and digital clocks.

Students will use the phrases a quarter till, a quarter after, and half past.

Students will find how much time elapsed between two events.

Students will decide if the weight of an object is measured in grams G) or Kilograms (Kg), and if the volume is measured in Milliliters(mL) or Liters (L).
