Describe and make comparisons of the way living things, including themselves, grow and change over time. Students will investigate different types of insects and animals. Health and PE – Monday and Friday Physical education – Fundamental motor skills are a core focus for students in the junior school. Each student is broken down into specific components for the student to learn the action. Activities include: Basketball, catching and throwing, running and dodging French – Thursday This term students will be working on a topic called ‘dans ma trousse’(in my pencil case). They will be extending on prior learning of the object we find in our pencil case and around the classroom. Music – Monday This Semester students will be introduced to “Spring” through YouTube clips including string orchestras, visual maps and other artistic responses that have been created. They will use their knowledge of beat to follow a visual beat chart that will highlight the repetition that occurs on music as they begin to learn about form in music. Songs, games and instrument activities will continue to build on their knowledge of beat, rhythm, melody and musical terminology. Art – Wednesday

Art – Wednesday

Applefest Collaborative Artwork – Bunjil the Eagle. Jimmy Pike inspired artwork - Indigenous Flowers painting. Aboriginal art inspired painting and collage. Exploring new painting techniques and materials. Learning about colour.

Homework and contacting the teacher Reading and recording home reading nights four times a week and handing in reading diary on your child’s reading day. Weekly spelling words students will be tested on these words every Friday. The classroom teacher will be in from 8 40am for short communication of information.
