WORSHIP

Each service will start 9:30 am on Sunday and 7:00pm on Wednesday.

Since God's word is central to everything we do, you will hear a challenging message from God's word every week.

We believe that prayer is important, and will have times of prayer in each service.

We collect an offering during each service to give people an opportunity to support the church. However, many people prefer to give online.

You can learn about our online giving by clicking HERE.

We want you to be a part of what God is doing through this world-wide vision. We invite you to visit our weekly worship services, where you’ll experience the presence of God through praise and worship, prayer, and biblical teaching that will transform your thinking. Everyone is welcome, so come join us!

We believe that the bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and is without error in the original writings. The Bible being the revealed Word of God is the ground and foundation from which all claims of truth shall be substantiated. Through God’s sovereign hand, the Scriptures have to be preserved and are the supreme and final authority. (2Tim 3:16-17, 2Peter 1:21).

We believe that there is only one true and living God existing in three manifestations. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are one having the same nature, perfection, and attributes, and each is worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence, and obedience. (Gen 1:1-3, Matt 3:16-17, John 1:1 and 14, John 10:30, 14:26; 15:26, Matt 28:19).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, shed His blood on Calvary in our place, was buried, rose again and ascended to the Father according to the scriptures. (Luke 1:26-33)

Our Beliefs

Page 4: storage.googleapis.com · Web viewSince God's word is central to everything we do, you will hear a challenging message from God's word every week. We believe that prayer is important,

We believe that man is the direct creation of God-body, soul and spirit. Therefore, man is not in any way a result of evolution, but is made in God’s image. The sin and fall of Adam resulted in the fall of creation and mankind both physically and spiritually (Gen 1:26-27, Roman 3:10, 5:12, 8:18-23).

We believe that all who, in faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God. Salvation involves redemption, regeneration, sanctification, and glorification. (John 8:41-45, Rom 10:9-10, Roman 5:7-11, Colo 1:13-14,John 17:16-22, 2Cor 5:17, 1Cor 6:19)

We believe that salvation is not only a gift from God but is sustained by Him as well. Salvation is completely of the Lord, apart from the works of man. The Holy Spirit permanently indwells the believer and seals him in salvation for all eternity. Therefore, the believer shall be kept b y the power of God through faith. ( John 3:16, 10:27-29, 14:16-17, 1Cor 2:9-14, Eph 1:13, 2:8-9, Phil 1:6, 1Pter 1:5, Jude 24-25).

We believe in the priesthood of each individual believer so that every Christian has direct, personal access to God in prayer through Jesus Christ. There is no mediator between God and man other than Jesus Christ. (1Peter 2:9-10, Hebrews 4:14-5:2).

We believe in the literal visible, personal return of Jesus Christ for His church. At this time, the dead in Christ and the living believers will be translated to meet Him in the air. He will at a point after the translation visibly descend with the saints and establish His Kingdom (Acts 1:11, 1Thes 4:17-18, Rev 20:1-6)

We believe that Satan was originally created Lucifer, a perfect being. He rebelled against God and consequently became depraved, the devil and adversary of God and God’s people (the Church) and leader of the host of angels that fell with him. Satan has been judged and defeated at the cross and awaits his ultimate doom at Jesus Christ’s Second coming. (Ezekiel 28:14-19, John 10:10, 1Cor 15:51-58)

We believe that the New Testament church is a local body of believers with Christ as their head and the Holy Spirit as their Guide. The church is to be governed and directed by Jesus’ sovereign gifts to the church in the form of set ministry men and women to equip the saints to do the work of ministry. ( Matt 28:16-20, Acts 1:6-8, 6:3, 1Cor 12:12-14, Eph 1:3-6, 22-23, 4:11-16, 1Thes 4:16-18)

We believe that the local church observes 3 ordinances- Baptism, the Lord’s Supper and Foot Washing. We believe that all who have received Christ as Savior and Lord should be baptized by immersion into water. Baptism is symbolic of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper should be observed in remembrance of Him to show forth His death for our sins until He comes again. Foot Washing is a demonstration of humility and humbleness of spirit. ( Matt 3:13-17, 28:18-20, I Cor 11:17-34, John 13:1-16).

Believe together in worship

Have you thought about the role that the Northside worship ministry plays in building strong families? After all, the worship of God is non-negotiable for a church. It would never be “enough” for us just to meet in groups, or to pass the offering plates, or to serve in the community. God designed His church to worship.

Our b.u.i.l.d.STRONG strategy clearly spells out that to be the disciples God created us to be, we must believe together in worship. In our weekly worship, we will always sing about the majesty of the Father, the glory of the Son, and the ministry of the Spirit.

For our worship to honor God rightly, we must also consider the “i” in our strategy, investing our time, talent, and treasures. If God has given you a talent or ability that could be used to bless our worship

ministry, we want you! We can use your skills as a vocalist, instrumentalist, or in our sound and video production. You provide the talent, we’ll provide the training, and together we can enjoy the satisfaction that comes from using the gifts God has given to us to honor Him and bless our church.

To connect with someone on our worship team, please contact Joel Talley or Eric Hammett. Joel leads our 9:00 AM service, and Eric leads our 11:00 AM service.
