CD Cover IdeasCover Idea 1
For my first idea I thought of producing a cover based on vampires hence the album name and the idea of red grass and a vampire on the left hand side.
Cover Idea 2
For this idea I thought of someone shooting towards the screen and the effect of smashing glass as if being shot at.
I decided to go along with this idea because of the different things I could do with this idea.

CD Cover Work In ProgressStage 1
First I researched some different CD covers to take note of the structure and how they have been constructed.
From there I laid out the front cover and insert of the Cover in Photoshop and used a star gradient from red to black on the background.
Stage 2
Next I found a picture on Google of a girl pointing a gun at the screen. To achieve the effect I wanted I ripped the edges of the picture, crumpled it up and scanned it into Photoshop for the picture on the front cover.
Next I wanted her to shoot some glass so I hunted for a picture of cracked or broken glass and merged it into the image to give the impression of someone shooting glass.
Then I added text around the image to g show the album title name and band name.
The fonts I used for the title was Coolvetica which I found on dafont.com and for the band name I used Edwardian Script ITC

EvaluationI was asked to design and create a CD Cover using digitally captured images.
First I researched three different CD covers and analyzed them on their artwork and how they were created. If I analyzed them more thoroughly I could have incorporated more information on them.
Secondly I designed two different CD covers in Photoshop and chose one to fully design and edit using different capture techniques to bring it all together although I was going to use a piece of fabric for the background of the final image I didn’t get one so I stuck to a star gradient for the background.
Overall I feel that the CD cover I design was good but I think that I could have used more materials on the cover itself to make it more professional.
