Homework for Mrs KeithPlease have this handed in before we start our Spring Break. Try not to forget, please. Seven people hadn’t handed in their homework on Friday and we need to try to improve on that.

When having a look on a few websites to prepare your homework, I learned something new once again. Let’s see if you can, too!

1. Take a look at the clever lettering on the word ‘Bannockburn’.

a) Which letter represents this important part of the battle, from the Scottish army’s side and why?

b) What were these weapons called?

It is worthwhile watching the whole video as it is only a couple of minutes long.

2. Now use the link I put on to take you to the learning pages. If you cannot use the link, then the web address is learning.battleofbannockburn.com

Click on Battlepedia then on Characters.

Now find John Comyn, the Lord of Badenoch, who was also Earl of Buchan. Was he on Bruce’s side or not - why? Can you explain your answer from what you read about him. Remember what I told you about what Robert the Bruce did to the lands of Buchan, and Ellon is part of Buchan!____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
