Former Google Engineering Director, Robin Williamson, Joins Teralytics’ Leadership Team

Robin Williamson joins as Vice President of Engineering

NEW YORK - 23 August, 2017 - Teralytics, a venture-backed big data, machine learning and location analytics company headquartered in Zürich, has appointed Robin Williamson as its new Vice President of Engineering.

Robin’s career began at IBM and he went on to hold executive roles in American software startups. Most recently, he spent 10 years as an Engineering Director at Google’s Research and Development Center in Zürich.

As Vice President of Engineering, Robin will lead the Teralytics engineering team and help the company deliver unprecedented insights on human mobility. Robin intends to transform the speed, scalability and client focus within the engineering team, by upgrading the way

Teralytics approaches its data architecture and elevating the already industry-leading internal standards to even higher levels. Robin plans to maintain a balance of world class delivery with the pre-existing culture of cutting edge innovation around data science and machine learning applied to rare and sensitive data.

Teralytics is currently expanding its data and analytics offerings for mobility, transportation and smart cities, and Robin will be a driving force in that strategic process.

Robin Williamson Bio:Robin Williamson is the VP of Engineering at Teralytics, a big data technology company headquartered in Zürich. Teralytics provides data analytics solutions that deliver insights into human location, movement and behavior based on data anonymously gathered from telecommunications providers, other rich data sources and world class analytics and visualization capabilities.

Before joining Teralytics, Robin spent 10 years as an Engineering Director at Google's Research and Development Center in Zürich. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at software startups in the USA in executive roles responsible for engineering and product delivery. He started his career at IBM working in research, software development, and marketing. Robin

received a bachelor’s degree in Computing and Electronics from the University of Durham in the UK and a PhD in Computer Science from Cambridge University.
