This is really important and will help your imaginations and vocabulary SO MUCH! If you’ve finished your reading book then find something else. It could be a magazine, newspaper, website, game instructions or a favourite book from home.Remember you could read to a sibling or have family reading time. Get the duvets out, build a den and have bedtime stories at any point in the day!

Imagine you are an explorer and you have come across an island that has been destroyed by a natural disaster. Write a non-chronological report about the different things you have found. (Your natural disaster could be made up)Remember non-chronological reports are a bit like a fact file.Use headings to separate your work and add a picture too.

Design and TechnologyWe know that the Celts were the first people to live in round houses. Their houses were round because in the centre of their homes they had a fire. Can you build a cooking pot using materials you have in your home?

You might use play dough, blue tack or even some plastic from your recycling bin. The funkier the better!

I would love to see your Celtic cooking pots see if you can get your Mums and Dads to take a picture of you making them and send it to me.

Science.Rocks and Soils Find some stones and observe how they change when you do different things to them. For example, put them in water, rub them together or stand on them. Can you draw before and after pictures? If you cannot find any stones, please use your fantastic scientific brains to predict what might happen if you were to carry out this investigation. Again, draw what you think might happen.
