ORCHARD STREET IS BEING TRANSFORMED AS PART OF THE KINGSWAY PLANS Did you know Orchard Street is a big part of the Kingsway plans? The route will also be transformed as part of the overall scheme and will include new green spaces and a pedestrian/cycle route as well as transforming the two-way vehicle route. Work is necessary on Mansel Street, De La Beche Street, Grove Place, Alexandra Road and Belle Vue Way to enable the reintroduction of two-way traffic on all these streets, providing alternative routes around the City Centre. Where possible, environmental enhancements in some of these locations will also be seen. Craddock Street will remain one-way but the flow will be reversed so that once the two-way switch takes place on the other streets, this street will become north-bound only. This will enable additional on-street parking on the street. Craddock Street will remain one-way but the flow will be reversed so that once the two-way switch takes place on the other streets, this street will become north-bound only. This will enable additional on-street parking on the street.
