Use Case: Tips to deploy AR Server 9.105 Patch 001 via D2P and proactively prevent error for subsequent ITSM 9.1.05/1805 Patch 1 deployment

Note* AR Server 9.1.05/1805 Patch 1 followed by ITSM, SRM, SLM 1805 Patch 001 successful deployment is must in order to Smart IT 1805 work properly.

Steps to Deploy AR 9.1.05/1805 Patch 1,

1) Login to Remedy Mid-tier client and access Application Flyout Menu and Navigate to AR System Administration -> AR System Deployment Management Console

2) From Navigation screen, choose option Transfer Package-> Import and select file "AR Server 9.1.05/1805 Patch 1" from local file system

3) Once Imported successfully and Status is "Ready to Deploy", Navigate to link Operation-> Deploy.

Package deployment started.

4) From Navigation menu, choose option View

5) Verify status of binary payload by clicking on button “View Payload Status”

6) Payload status screen appears as per below screen print

7) If Payload Status is in Progress, follow below steps

a. Login to ARServer box and navigate to bin folderLinux path example : /opt/bmc/ARSystem/bin/arpayloaddeploymentutil.shWindows path example: C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem.bat

b, execute file arpayloaddeploymentutil.sh or bat per operating system

c, wait for few sec/minute while payload script deploys binaries and then verify payload status on Payload deployment screen via mid-tier.

8) AR Server 9.1.05 Patch 001 Pay Load is deployed successfully.
