Mrs. Britt’s & Mrs. Lowe’s Maverick Memo Week of December 10-14 Weekly Skills: Reading: We will be reviewing all skills this week while we do fun Grinch activities La nguage: We will finish Prepositional Phrases this week with a test on Thursday. We will also have our 2 nd 9 weeks Word Study Test on Thursday. Math : We will continue our unit on Division. Please look for the reference sheet on Division in your childs binder. This explains the multiple ways to divide. We will have a division test next Tuesday. Social Studies : A new Scholastic News will go home today along with a Quiz Whiz. Please make sure you are reading these and reviewing the answers with your child. Science : We will begin Topic 4: Earth’s Features lessons 1 and 2. A new set of vocabulary words went home last week. We will have a test on both lessons and the vocabulary words next Tuesday, December 18 th . Also, a science project went home last week that we will be working on in class and they can work on it at home. This is for a major test grade and is due December 18 th as well. Science Extra Credit Project: This is the Soil and Water poster contest. I sent home a note about this and it is also posted on my website. This is for 10 extra credit points to be added to a test grade during the 3 rd 9 weeks. This is due by January 11 th .
