Ask your child to talk about the tasks they do before they go to school in the morning. Show them the images from todays home learning task on the Weebly website. Can you explain what the character is doing in each of the pictures?Can you cut out the pictures and stick them in the correct order. After your child has completed this task ask them to talk through the day using a variety of openers. For example,First I …Then I …Next I …Last I …

Read what you have written to check you haven’t missed any of the words.Challenge: write another speech bubble for a different character in the story.

Challenge: Can you count the corners and faces on each of the 3D shapes? Which shape has the most faces? Which shape has the least corners?

Why do you like this bit the best?

Complete the literacy sheet on the Weebly Website. Draw a picture of your favourite part of the story – remember to add as much detail as you can.Say your sentence in funny voices and then clap your sentence out. Can you write it neatly on the line? Remember your capital letters, finger spaces and full stop.

Read your sentence to a relative. What is their favourite part of the story?

Ask your child to go on a 3D shape hunt around the house. Can they use an iPad to take pictures of some of the shapes they have found? Maybe they can even record themselves talking about the shapes.Print off one of the shape nets from the Weebly Website. Can you carefully cut it out and fold the tags along the dotted lines. Glue the sides together to create a 3D shape. What shape is it?

Send a video to your teacher on class dojo of you describing the shape you have made.How many faces does it have?Does it have any corners?Can the shape roll?Can you name anything else that is the same shape as this?
