On the other hand ,there are some people who just can't make up their minds about anything by themselves . They frequently ask the advice of their friends and then do the opposite of what their friends have suggested . Indeed they are so obstinate . My younger brother Tom is such a person . He can never decide what to do and is always asking my opinion . I try to help him as much as I can ,but he never takes my advice . Yesterday, however, I answered his question in a different way ." Look " he said , showing me a letter , "What do you think I ought to do ?"The letter was to offer him a job . It seemed to be an excellent opportunity for a young engineer . Tom would be sent to Africa to work and they would pay very well , besides he would be able to travel and visit many interesting places free of charge ."What do you think , Bill ? he asked ,"Should I go? If I were to accept the job , I'd have to stay in Africa for two years . I might have to stay longer , but it would be a wonderful experience for me. What should I do? "Don't go !" I told him ."You'd be very unhappy".'' Don't go?'' He looked very surprised at my answer .As you probably guesses , Tom accepted the offer .I don't know if it had occurred to him that I actually wanted him to take the job.

Read the following passage then answer the questions below: With the birth of the big cities and their exploding population has become the problem of getting rid of their wastes. Many people believe that these cities will eventually bury themselves in their own rubbish unless something is done, and done quickly. The worries about land pollution, shortage of natural resources (especially wood and oil), increasing costs of raw materials and growing unemployment all point to one solution: recycling. Recyclable waste falls into seven basic groups: paper, glass, plastics, metals, rags, bones and organic matter. The first five groups can be recycled to produce similar products a second time. Organic matter can be used to feed animals or used as fertilizer. Bones produce fat, gelatin and calcium which can be used in animal feed or to make filters.Among the many advantages of recycling are: saving valuable natural resources, preventing land pollution, saving manufacturers' money, creating a lot of jobs. For recycling to be a success it needs the support of the government in supplying areas for dumping, sorting and recycling and to launch a campaign to persuade the public to co-operate. It needs experts to find suitable people or companies to recycle each material. All the way along the line, from the collector to the seller of the recycled product, there has to be an acceptable income. In this way, meeting this demand is easier in the developing world, where people are on lower incomes, than in developed countries where expectations of reward are higher.

I live in a small village north to London. I am fond of cinema and cinema stars. When I was young, it was my wish to be an actor, a famous star in the world of cinema, but I am now an accountant in a famous bank. The story of the film was that a man was chasing a terrifying alien creature coming from outer space, from one place to another and at the end of the film he managed to kill him. Late at night, I left my friend’s house and took a bus to the Metro station. A man sat next to me, began looking at me but I didn’t care. When I got off the bus, he followed me. I hurried to the station to take the last Metro to my house. The man was in the same Metro and kept looking at me. Now I became convinced that he was going to hurt me so I walked quickly to my house.
