Dear Parent/Teacher,
We really hope you and the children enjoy the performance of The
Night Before Christmas and have lots of fun at the workshop. Take
some of the fun and magic from the show back home or into the
classroom with this activity pack, full of drama based activities
including quizzes, crafts and games. The activities in this pack have
been designed to support and extend the children’s visit to the theatre
and offer pre and post show activities that explore the themes in the
play.

Make your own:

Enjoy this simple recipe for Christmas cookies, which could be used as yummy decorations for the tree.
Ingredients you will need:
225g butter 1 cup caster sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 3 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon bicarb soda 2 teaspoons cream of tartar 2 free range eggs (59g)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 180ºC and line baking trays with non-stick baking paper. Mix the cream, the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add the eggs and sift in the flour, bicarb soda and cream of tartar. Mix until a smooth dough has formed.
3. Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface, wrap in plastic wrap and put in the fridge for 30 minutes.
4. Now for the fun part, roll the dough between two sheets of baking paper until 5mm thick. Cut out biscuits using Christmas shaped cutters and place on prepared baking trays.
5. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
6. Then decorate however you want with icing pens, smarties and sweets.

1. Cut out the template below2. Colour in and decorate, keeping within the dotted lines3. Fold on the dotted lines and stick together with tape or glue to make a 3D house to hang on
our Christmas tree in the foyer or your own.

Attach the reindeer to the sleigh with a split pin, attach a stick to the reindeer and the sleigh to make Santa’s sleigh fly through the air.
