Specialist Home Learning Program PLAY Sub-school: Seniors Week: 5 Date: Wednesday 20 th May 2020. What am I learning? I am learning to do a circuit at home using only my body weight What is my teacher looking for? I can try each exercise without stopping Things to remember- Children between the ages of 5 & 17 should be aiming for 60 minutes of physical activity each day at a moderate intensity (activities that make your heart beat faster!). It doesn’t need to be all at once but this 60 minutes can be across the whole day! Anything that makes you ‘huff and puff’ is perfect. Now we know this may be a bit harder at home but some exercise is better than none! Take breaks between your literacy and numeracy work and go outside for some fresh air. Kick the soccer or football with a sibling or adult, ride your bike around the block with an adult, or try one of these play sessions designed to get your body moving! Remember it’s really important to get outside even at home, getting outside and enjoying the sun is important for not only our physical health but also mental health!
