The workshop aims to provide participants with an overview of current research and some approaches that they can take away and use to improve retention in their own institutions. More specifically, the workshop will offer opportunities to: consider what research tells us are the factors that impact on student retention; review a range of enhancements to curriculum design, delivery and assessment that can improve student retention; prioritise actions and interventions that can be implemented in local contexts.
