I am very excited to let you know about an opportunity for Arcola Orchestra and String Ensemble!  Air Force Strings, an internationally known, world class string orchestra will be coming to work with Arcola orchestra students from Tuesday, March 28 through Friday, March 31, 2017.  They will work with students during regular lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.  

They will perform with the String Ensemble at Shannondell on Wednesday evening, March 29, 2017, then perform with the full orchestra for the Friday evening, March 31st concert.  What an amazing experience this is for the orchestra students (and the director)!!  We will also be combining with Penndale Middle School Orchestra from North Penn for the Friday evening concert.

**Please the dress rehearsal/concert date information on your calendar now.**-Dress Rehearsal- Friday, March 31 st : 4:00 to 5:30 in auditorium. You may stay with Mrs. Saul after school if you are not going home and coming back for the 3:45 call time. You will need your instrument, music and concert black attire for the evening concert. This dress rehearsal is the only time we have to work with Air Force Strings and Penndale Middle School students to prepare for the concert.

-Evening Concert- Friday, March 31 st , 2017 @ 7:00pm.-Report to auditorium at 3:45 for dress rehearsal.-Rehearsal from 4:00 to 5:30-Pizza dinner provided at 5:30-Change and tune 6:15-Concert begins at 7:00pm.-Dismissal approximately 8:30pm.

CONCERT ATTIRE FOR EVERYONE-Boys: Black shirt, black dress pants, tall black socks (not footies), black dress shoes, tie (String ensemble green bow ties; orchestra boys ties optional but encouraged)-Girls: black shirt or blouse, String ensemble green bow ties, black dress pants, black socks or black stockings, -OR- LONG black dress and black stockings, black shoes

NO JEANS, HOODIES, SWEATPANTS, TRACK PANTS, T-SHIRTS, OR SNEAKERS ARE TO BE WORN AT ANY TIME WHILE PERFORMING (even if they are black!)
