The Agricultural Sales - Placement Proficiency is sponsored by Direct Enterprises, Inc. Canyon started his SAE at Jack and Dick’s Feed and Garden store in 2018. A small town store with a wide range of customers from farmers to suburban homeowners. Canyon started with stocking and cleaning. He learned how to take orders, run the register, and operate the forklift and delivery trucks. One of Canyon's biggest accomplishments is learning how to fill and deliver orders. Canyon not only delivers the products to the customers house, but in the case of water softener salt he fills the customers softeners for them. Canyon dedicated many hours in high school and college which helped grow his proficiency and discover a future career path. Canyon’s Advisors are Diane Morgan and Jillian Diehl. Schuenke will find out this summer if he is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Canyon will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.

The Wisconsin Association of FFA in the 2020-2021 academic calendar year involved over 19,000 students across 252 Chapters. Wisconsin FFA focuses on premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. Student activities complement agricultural classroom instruction by giving youth an opportunity to apply skills and knowledge while gaining real-world experience.
