Grade 5/6 Home Learning Term 3, Week 9, 2019 Task 1: This week’s focus is English. We are beginning to look at information reports, so for this week’s home learning you will research a topic of interest. You are to choose a topic that you know little about so that you can discover new information through your research. If you cannot think of a topic, you can choose one of the following to look into: Black holes Halley’s comet A planet The northern and southern lights (Aurora Borealis) An Apollo mission A person of interest An animal (Australian, extinct) The information report only needs to be one page in length. Consult the following pages on how to construct your report. Week 9 Spelling words: This week we are looking at words with the prefix ‘auto’ and ‘mono’.
