NOTE (1): James Freud and the Radio Stars were not the first choice to support Gary Numan on the Australian dates. The Aliens were originally scheduled for the role, but tensions in the band led to guitarist Greg Webster quitting and caused them to miss out on the prized support slot.

NOTE (2): Also this year, on 5 July, Gary Numan appeared at the Salone delle Feste at the Casino de la Vallée, Saint-Vincent, Italy, performing "I Die: You Die". This was an evening dedicated to the songs performed by established artists and subsequently broadcast on TV by Rete Uno.

The scenery, which was 20' x 40', needed to be cut in several places and the truss that held hundreds of lights also altered. There simply wasn't sufficient time to do this, so Gary Numan was faced with letting all the fans go in, only to be told that there would be sound, but no show. 29/09 Hammersmith Odeon, London Cancelled ..................................NOTE: The scheduled tour was cancelled after a lightning storm caused damage to Gary Numan's recording studio, delaying the album and causing the tour to be postponed until March 1991. Due to the delay, a planned World tour and budget for the stage set didn't materialise from the record company, with inner turmoil and artists being dropped from the label by the time the UK tour commenced.

14/09 Ancienne Belgique, Brussels ......................................................NOTE: Freak U.K. was scheduled to provide the support at this concert, but they were on the coach of fans that got badly lost on the journey from the hotel to the venue. When the coach finally arrived, there was no time for the support band to play and, indeed, Gary Numan had delayed the start of his set so that the fans on the coach didn't miss out completely. However, the set was cut short by two songs as a result of the late start. 16/09 Bierkeller, Bristol .......................................................................17/09 Assembly Rooms, Derby ...........................................................18/09 Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone ........................................................

NOTE: Aside from the previously mentioned issues prior to the first concert date in Brussels on 14 September, this tour was beset by problems. - At the Assembly Rooms in Derby, the PA malfunctioned and led to there being no high frequency output throughout the entire show. - On the first date at the Electric Ballroom in London, the noise meter was tripped during "Me! I Disconnect from You", causing all the power to be cut for several minutes. - At South Parade Pier in Southsea, the stage was unstable and moved around, having been assembled on crates. - At the Oakley Centre in Crewe, there were two power cuts due to a faulty supply in the building; the first occurred during "Are "Friends" Electric?" and the second during "America". As a result, the former No. 1 single was again performed at the end of the set. - On the second visit to the Electric Ballroom in London, a lightning strike took out all of the power albeit only momentarily, during "America". - At the Polytechnic in Leicester, the smoke machines set off the fire

alarm and led to the building being evacuated; by the time the band returned to the stage there was only time for a shortened set before a 10.30 p.m. curfew. They also had to follow advice and perform without utilising the smoke machines again. The track "Young Heart" was completed at 10.36 p.m. and, although Gary Numan felt he might irk the venue, they still went on to complete an eventful evening with "Emotion" - the twelfth track of the set.- At the Pavilion in Ayr, the show was played with the accompaniment of only a handful of stage lights and the house lights permanently on because of an error by a local electrician. The concert was late starting whilst the crew tried to fix the problem and Gary Numan addressed those in attendance with an apology and offered fans the option of their money back if they wished to leave.
