grows into a butterfly.After listening to the story think about if this story is fiction or nonfiction. (Remember Fiction books tell a story that is made up by the author. A Nonfiction book give you
information that you can learn about something or someone.)*Complete the Writing activity about The Hungry Caterpillar by writing what happened at the beginning, middle, and end of the the story. You can draw a picture to go with each

You can sing along to learn the 4 stages of the butterfly life cycle. *Science: Take some time to go outside today and look for some butterflies. Notice their environment. Where are they going? what are they doing? How do you think they live in
their environment? It is amazing how the butterfly changes from a caterpillar to a butterfly. See if you notice any caterpillars on any plants. What are they doing? Do you
think their food is different from the butterfly’s food?*Read the Four Stages of a Butterfly’s Life Cycle Assignment found in the learning packet and List the 4 stages and draw a picture for day 1 and answer the questions for
day 2.*Complete the Bossy R Assignment on BrainPopJr. You can get to BrainPop Jr. App

Questions to think about: Is this book fiction or nonfiction? Why? What is the main idea of this book? (What is the book mostly about?) What is the author trying to tell us in this
book? What was something interesting that I learned about butterflies?*After listening to the story write in your own words about the 4 stages of the butterfly
life cycle.Art Activity: 1) Get a paper plate or a piece of paper. Divide your plate or paper into 4 equal parts using a black crayon or marker. Write each life cycle stage in the section
and make sure you put them in order. Follow the directions below. An example of what it might look like is below.

*Complete the The Farm – AR Spelling activity in the learning packet.* Complete the Prefix Assignment on BrainPopJr. You can get to BrainPop Jr. App from
your clever account by using your clever badge to login. *Review your sight words by playing a game. Sight Word Walk. Put all your sight word flash cards on the floor spread out around your house. As you land on a sight word said
it and move to another sight word. You can also practice using them in sentences. You can also use your old sight words from previous weeks. This is a good review!!

Thursday*Read The Butterfly Life Cycle book assigned on Raz-Kids and take the quiz. Make sure you look at all the text features in the book to help you to better understand the
book. Notice the captions under the pictures. How do the captions help you as a reader? Notice the bold words in the story. Where else can you find the bold words?
*Optional – Interesting video on Monarch Migration. (Remember migration is one of our vocabulary words. This video might help you to better understand what migration
