NEZ Sports Council Edmonton Padres Baseball (Community, A, AA, AAA, FPP and HPP Programs) Volunteer Position Description: Team Treasurer Summary The team Treasurer is responsible for the quality and integrity of the financial on goings and financial credibility of the team for the season. This includes all financial transfers, expenditures and statements. The treasurer works closely with the Team Manager to ensure all funds for the team are auditable and transparent. The primary role of the treasurer is to maintain financial status and records for the team in conjunction with the Team Manager and Head Coach. Duties include: Responsible for setting up a “Team” account for the season. This is to be done in coordination with the team manager and head coach at a credible financial institution that is recognized as being a bondable stable banking institution. Examples and recommendations of this would be CIBC, ATB, TD-Canada Trust, Scotia bank.

Volunteer Position Description: Team Treasurer

Summary

The team Treasurer is responsible for the quality and integrity of the financial on goings and financial credibility of the team for the season. This includes all financial transfers, expenditures and statements.The treasurer works closely with the Team Manager to ensure all funds for the team are auditable and transparent.The primary role of the treasurer is to maintain financial status and records for the team in conjunction with the Team Manager and Head Coach.

Duties include:

Responsible for setting up a “Team” account for the season. This is to be done in coordination with the team manager and head coach at a credible financial institution that is recognized as being a bondable stable banking institution. Examples and recommendations of this would be CIBC, ATB, TD-Canada Trust, Scotia bank.

Collect all team cash calls and deposit to team account. Collect all fundraising funds and deposit into team account. Provide a monthly statement of team income and expenses. Coordinate funds and payment for all umpire fees in conjunction with the

team manager/assistant manager and NEZ sports council. Coordinate financial preparedness and cash flow for hosting weekends. Coordinates cash float distribution and cash distribution for hosting

weekends if applicable.
