Fall will be here before one knows it and with the coming of fall the Stockton Korth Center has several activities planned. We are excited about joining Stockton Chamber of Commerce and being part of the 58th Black Walnut Festival with some fun activities. After reading this informational article the Korth Center hopes that you will join us in celebrating the coming of fall to the Stockton Community.

Even with the beginning of fall they are still playing the great game of baseball. If you would like to attend a Springfield Cardinals the Korth Center is able to offer the community the opportunity to attend a game on September 1, 2018 at 7:10pm, with the great discounted rates.  Through the center one may purchase tickets at the following prices: Field Box $8.33, Dugout $11.40, Diamond $13.88 and Expedia Redbird Roost $25.00. All tickets can only be ordered through the Korth Center. Tickets need to be ordered by August 24 located at 309 W. Englewood or call 417-276-5306. Tickets will need to be paid with cash at time of ordering. You will need to provide your own transportation.

If baseball is not your thing, here is another activity to attend. The Korth Center is joining the Stockton Chamber of Commerce Cars, Crafts, and Chili Show by having a Chili Cook-Off on September 8 at the Stockton City Park. The Korth Center would like to invite individuals, groups, organizations or businesses to compete in their Chili Cook-off. There will be an entry fee of $25 for each entry. Judging will begin at 10:00 the day of the Car Show, Crafts, and Chili Cook-Off. Judges will determine Judges Choice, Hottest and Most Creative Booth. There will also be a People’s Choice Winner. Besides winning the title of the Best Chili in Stockton, MO you will be able to raise money for yourself, group, organization or business by selling your chili to those that attend the Car Show, Crafts, and Chili Cook-Off. Selling the chili will begin at 11:00am. Please call the Korth Center at 417-276-5306 for more information.

Korth Center is excited to be a part of the 58th Black Walnut Festival, September 26 thru 29. We would like to invite you to come visit us at our booth at the festival. There will be three raffles that one may enter. The center is selling raffle tickets to win the following items a LED TV, handmade quilt and 50/50 raffle.

Wait that’s not all, the Care Connection for Aging Services and the Korth Center will be celebrating its 45th Anniversary October 1-5. Help us as we go back to 1973 and celebrate our 45th Anniversary, even heard talk of a Disco Dance that week. Put on your favorite Disco Attire and come joins us at the Korth Center that week.So mark your calendar and join the Korth Center as we go into Fall.

American Heart Association’s

Little Hats Big HeartsThe Heart Association, in conjunction with the Children’s Heart Foundation, will celebrate American Heart Month in February by donating knitted and crocheted red hats for babies born at participating hospitals.

If you would like to crochet or knit hats or donate red yarn for us to take to the American Heart Association that would be awesome.

Please contact the Korth Center for a copy of the hat directions. Or you may bring red yarn to the center and we will found individuals to make the hats.
