This is an Inuit legend of the sea goddess, Sedna, and the origins of the sea creatures the Inuit people depend upon to survive.

The Inuit people live in Northern Canada, mostly in the provinces of Quebec, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.

Until the oil industry came, the Inuit lived almost entirely from what they could harvest from the sea.
