Year 3 Homework Grid Term 2 Weeks - 7 & 8 Your homework is due on 11th June . Complete each of the activities on the grid Remember: It is important to present your work to the best of your ability. Be neat, tidy and give each task a title. You should always be proud of the work you have done. Reading Read each day for at least 15-20 minutes. Fill out your reading log at the back of your book each day to show what you are reading and how many pages you have read. Maths Choose 2 activities each week from our Maths Grid. Challenge: You can choose as many activities as you want. Writing -Poetry We have been exploring different types of poetry in Weeks 6 and 7. Children can write a Haiku, Cinquain or a Limerick - on a TOPIC of their choice. Look on the Weebly if you’re unsure of the format. Religion - We are talking about the Sacraments of Initiation - including Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. We invite the children to share their stories of Baptism over the next 2 weeks. Children can bring in momentos, prepare google slides. They can include information about God parents, Where they were Baptised, Symbols etc. Practise your tables for the 50’s club. This might mean that you need to write them and cut them out on cards and PRACTISE PRACTISE PRACTICE. Put the answers on the back. Set a goal - that you might move up to a certain level by a special date. Social Emotional Learning Talk to your parents, older siblings, grandparents or trusted adults about what makes a good friend. What does a good friend do? What does a good friend say? How does a good friend make them feel? Record 3 important points in your homework book. Spelling Tasks - - Define the word (make sure it is a definition you understand) - Use the word in a sentence. - Break the word into syllable boxes e.g. confirmation con-fir-ma-tion Extension - Can you find any smaller
