Part A) Watching/Listening Reflection
· Your task is to select ONE Fictional and ONE Non-fictional pieces related to Ancient Greece!
· Each week, you will be asked to reflect on two of your pieces you chose and summarize to the best of your ability.
· A great tip is to use the 5W’s to help you summarize your reading!
· After summarizing, we ask that you take some time to reflect on what you’ve watched and ask critical thinking questions to help expand your understanding.
Fiction (Movies/novels/TV series) Non-fictional (TED Talks/Biography/Historical non-fiction)
· Summarize your story without spoilers
· What was your favorite moment and why?
· What was your informational book/video about?
· What are some of the most interesting or important things you learned about your topic?
- Please feel free to jot down and record your answers, and share them with your Teacher when they call, or on Microsoft Teams!
Part B) Fun with the Family!
Gather your family around and review the Mad Lib template attached, together.
Read each sentence out loud, and have every member keep track of their answers to the blank spaces provided.
After completing, each family member is challenged to present their funny Mad Lip story to the household.
Below are some descriptions for some of the words being used in this Mad Lib
Adjective Words that describe or modify a noun or a pronoun: Ex: Red car, Fast dog, Happy duck, Quick rabbit... etc
Noun Words that describe a person, place or thing: Ex: Toyota Corolla, Africa, Blood, Cat, Dog... etc
Verb Words to describe an action or state Ex: Laugh, Run, Play, Thought, Ran, Sat... etc Adverb Words that modify an adjective: Ex: Quickly, Gently, Loudly, Greedily, Correctly... etc
